I think we must have rescheduled this family portrait session at least 7 times due to rain, but we finally made it happen and got ourselves the perfect afternoon in Lincoln Park during golden hour. I’ve known this family (minus their toddler) for 4.5 years now! Kate was the first friend I made in Chicago when we moved here back in 2013. We had a coffee date because we were interested in joining their married small group, and we were a great fit! A lot has changed since then! Ever since having her little girl and deciding to stay at home with her, Kate discovered her talent for calligraphy and made it into a small business. Not only did she want some updated family portraits, she wanted to use them for a gender reveal! Since we had to reschedule so many times, May portraits suddenly became July ones and she had herself a sweet little baby bump by that time!
