Blue & White Inspired Baby Shower

Last week I shared my first baby shower on the blog, and this week is my blue & white inspired baby shower (with touches of blush, of course). My mom did such a fantastic job putting all of this together! I felt so very loved and blessed by her hospitality and giving Grandma spirit. Everything was so simple, elegant and perfect for celebrating a baby girl.

I am a huge blue & white porcelain fan, so when my mom found these ginger jars at Home Goods, she knew they would be a great vessel for my favorite flower, hydrangeas! The best part is she let me keep all of them to decorate my house with :). The favors were a local antique store find of hers. She tried explaining them to me over the phone before the shower as “antique baby planters” and I hadn’t the slightest what she was talking about. When I saw them, I thought they were so unique and perfect for a spring baby shower (and her description finally made sense!). The ladies were all snatching their favorite one by the end of the afternoon.

My very creative and crafty aunt made the floral and gingham diaper cake here! I brought it home and haven’t actually taken it apart yet…it’s too pretty and matches the floral and gingham themes in her nursery (will share more of that in the coming weeks!). She also found a little figurine with “June” on it, since we have been calling Baby Girl “Junebug” until we can figure out a name. What a find! Leave it to my mom and her sisters to come upon these little treasures during their antique outings.

The hotel unfortunately didn’t have pink napkins available, so we ordered our own from this site for an amazingly cheap price, and they turned out just darling. I also knew I’d keep them for my own tablescapes and other occasions down the road like more baby showers, bridal showers, Easter, etc. In fact, you saw these on my Easter table already this year! The pink satin is so sweet and delicate.

I can’t believe how loved Junebug already is by so many friends and family! Being the first grandchild on both sides, she has a lot more spoiling to endure. We are so thrilled to be parents and grateful to God for this good and perfect gift from above. We do not deserve her, and with that knowledge, will love her more deeply!
