Fourth of July Tablescape Ideas

It’s almost the holiday weekend, so there is still just enough time to plan and shop for a July 4th get together! The Fourth of July is one of my top three favorite holidays, and what better way to get into the festive spirit than to create a patriotic tablescape for your guests to enjoy! I’ll really use any excuse to make a pretty table. Most people just grab some American flag paper plates and call it a day, but I’ve found that putting in some extra effort for the occasion will make your guests feel special and loved.

Everything I’ve compiled here, except for the fresh hydrangeas, I already had around the house. If you’re not weird like me and keep Rubbermaid containers of decor in your garage for every conceivable holiday, you can find everything affordably on sale around this time. With it being on the cusp of July 4th, everything is marked down to 50% off or more in stores now, so it’s really the best time to go grab the items you need!

While I’m often inspired by magazines that have expensive spreads and flower vases that cost upwards of $250, I love to challenge myself to create the same look for a fraction of the price. Everything on my table is either from TJ Maxx, Home Goods or Target (with the exception of my dinnerware). I’m a firm believer that you can decorate your entire home using those three stores alone (because I have!). The only thing that required a little craft were the napkin rings, which I made out of some extra ribbon I had from a previous project. I simply cut them into about 7 inch strips and hot glued the ends together. It was much cheaper and faster than going out and buying festive napkin rings, even if they are on sale!

Everything here could easily be moved outside to your back porch or patio as well. However if it rains, you know it can still look good and be fun indoors! This was seriously SO easy to put together, I hope you get some inspiration for your July 4th weekend!

*Tip* – When your hydrangeas start to go down, cut the stems at an angle and place them in really hot water for 30 seconds to 1 minute, they will perk right back up and stick around for a couple more days!
