If you know Beth & Jim, you already know by now that she has announced a baby is on the way (so I’m not spoiling any surprise!) If you don’t know them, scroll through anyway because the way she decided to tell her husband was the cutest and hopefully it will inspire others for future photo shoots!

She texted me in the middle of November asking if I was available for a portrait session. By mid November I’ve basically covered all of my holiday card portrait requests, so I knew something must be up. She’s not the type to wait until the last minute for things. When she asked if she could call me, I had a pretty good feeling she had some good (baby) news to share with me. What I didn’t know was that she already had some adorable ideas in mind (thank you Pinterest) for how she was going to surprise Jim. On top of that (like most couples) they hadn’t had any portraits done since their wedding and it was about time I changed that.

What might have been better was what he wrote on his board, which was that their wedding day was better than the Cubs winning the World Series. I mean, that’s love.
