The last time I photographed Daira and Brody, they were brand new parents…fast forward 2 years later and they’ve got another beautiful gal in the mix! I love when a client reaches back out and I find that their family has grown. Life is always changing and evolving and it should be documented properly!

Daira was worried that the pictures wouldn’t turn out because the girls were running and playing a lot, but I knew that it would only make for better pictures. Posed family photos definitely have their place (on the living room wall), but it’s the photos where kids are freely being themselves that moms desperately fall in love with when they see them. They love these photos because they reflect what only they see every single day. Great portraits don’t need a fancy set up or backdrop, all that’s needed is a backyard and a playground.

I also never regret snapping a few of the mom&dad sometime during the session. It’s important to bring them back to where it all started, because family legacies begin with two people in love.
