A Midwestern Farm Wedding | Liz & Micah

Oh you guys, all the stars aligned with this one. Perfect weather, amazing venue and a couple that loves each other madly and deeply. It’s like all I did was press the shutter button. I also may have picked several grasshoppers out of Liz’s dress, but these are common problems in cornfields I’m learning.

Liz & Micah have an amazing and imperfect love story that was drafted by God Himself. They wrote their own vows, and there wasn’t a dry eye in that open field where they said “I do.” Every couple in love is a sweet and special thing, but when two people who love of the Lord commit their lives to each other….goosebumps.  It seems weird doesn’t it…having God at the center actually creates a rich unity between two people that will see them through life’s trials and suffering.

It was funny that I ended up being their wedding photographer, because their newly married story very much mirrors my own. Get married, move to a new state, find a new job, find a new church, make all new friends. Not a problem. Because getting married just wasn’t enough change in itself for us! But what an opportunity to learn and grow in their relationship and lean on the Lord when it’s hard.

Liz and Micah, thank you for entrusting me to capture one of the most important and meaningful days of your lives. I was so honored and humbled.
